Cochrane reviews Taylor

Of the high profile blogging economists, John Cochrane is closest to my own views. His review of Taylor’s first principles has persuaded me add it to my own reading list.

If you are unlikely to read Taylor but would like an intelligent summary, this review is for you.

The excerpts included in Cochrane’s review were interesting enough to prompt me to order the book. The chapters covering ‘Entitlement programs’ creating powerful disincentive effects and ‘crony capitalism’ appear required reading for our own incumbent government. Cheers for the tip.

Cochrane’s efforts since the GFC have ranged from bizarre to just plain embarrassing.

i am glad I have finally found something to disagree with you.

I don’t know how either could apply to the current Government.
